Población con discapacidad en el Área Metropolitana de Barcelona: la realidad de Castelldefels

 

En Castelldefels hay 3.324 personas con discapacidad legalmente reconocida, de las cuales el 49% son hombres y el 51% mujeres. El colectivo con discapacidad representa el 5% sobre la población total del municipio.

Según datos del INE, el 56% de los edificios de primera vivienda fueron construidos antes de 1980 y en muchos casos no se han realizado las modificaciones necesarias para garantizar su accesibilidad. La presencia de escalones para acceder a la finca y la falta de ascensor son dos de las principales dificultades.
