Enfermedades raras

En Europa 1 de cada 2000 personas tiene una enfermedad rara y se estima que hay cerca de 6.500 enfermedades raras. Hay que tener en cuenta que el número de enfermedades raras varía según el contexto y la categorización. En concreto en España, hay más de 3 millones de personas afectadas por alguna enfermedad rara; y el 50% de estas aparecen durante la infancia o adolescencia de las personas (cuando son menores de edad).

Prestaciones sociales a personas con discapacidad

Las prestaciones sociales no contributivas a personas con discapacidad no han dejado de disminuir desde el 2002 hasta el 2014 (excepto en el periodo 2012-2013 en que prácticamente se mantiene estable). Así pues, mientras que el 2002 por cada 1.000 habitantes había 11,76 (de entre 16 y 64 años) con prestación no contributiva de discapacidad, el 2014 esta cifra se reduce al 7,25.
